Wake County Employment Opportunity: Environmental Consultant – Groundwater

Wake County Public Health is seeking an Environmental Consultant – Groundwater to support the county’s dynamic private well program. This position will perform site evaluations, create and review well permits, conduct inspections for well construction, well repairs and well abandonments, collect water quality samples, and interpret results from private drinking water wells. This position will also provide consultative services to residents including well inspections, water quality sampling, and advice on water quality issues, and will conduct background research and field investigations related to groundwater complaints.
