The Appalachian District Health Department is currently seeking applicants for two (2) Environmental Health Specialist positions in Watauga County. We have one (1) opening in our On-Site Water Protection Program and one (1) in the Food Protection and Facilities Program. Although the duty stations are in Watauga staff can expect to work across the district from time to time.

We are also offering up to a $5,000.00 relocation stipend and are providing an annual $1000.00 stipend to cover the cost of vehicle maintenance and personal clothing/gear.
