NOW HIRING: 2 positions: Licensed Soil Scientist and Environmental Health Specialist 1
Lincoln County invites you to join our Environmental Health Team! We’re looking for a Licensed Soil Scientist and EHS I with experience in onsite water (septic) and wells to join our Onsite Water Division. If you enjoy working outdoors, protecting public health and serving your community, we’d love to meet you.
These positions are responsible for conducting soil evaluations for the issuance of septic and well permits as well as enforcement of the local Mosquito Control Ordinance.
Lincoln County is a short drive from Charlotte and close to the mountains. We boast rural farms in the West and a thriving lake community in the East. The Environmental Health office is located in the City of Lincolnton close to walking trails, shops and local restaurants.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours, or its equivalent 45 quarter hours in physical, biological, natural, life or health science and two years of experience as an Environmental Health Specialist.
